"The Smith's Safari"

I was comissioned to paint this piece for Steffen and Felicia Smith's new baby's room.
At first I didn't think i could pull it off, this was my first multi-panel piece. The medium used was Acrylic on 12" x 12" canvases. These were the animals that they've seen on their South Africa trip.
I'm happy how it all turned out.
Hope you all like it!
Peace!

Trying out other medium...

So I've had these Yasutomo Waterbrush for a while and I was a little hesitant in trying it. I was never a fan of watercolor beacuse it's such a hard medium to use!...one wrong move and you have to live with that. Unlike acrylic or spray paint you can always go over your mistakes.
But I do have lots of respect to the artists that have mastered the technique.
I love the texture that it has, how the water takes a life of its own and go where ever it wants.
So unpredictable...
My piece is a 5" x 5" canvas board and I've used a Prismacolor Rouge Toscan PC937 for the color. Title: "Self-Inflicted Pain" It's still a work in progress...
Hope you guys like it.

Character Wall @ MAINTAIN-Cypress

One of the many reasons why I love painting outdoors is running into interesting people like this guy, he was cool enough to let me take a flik of him. He was also a street artist... check out his piece.

Here's how my piece came out, not bad for a rushed 3 hours work!

Thanks to Alex @ Maintain for letting me jump on the wall and getting to paint with some talented "CATS"! See more of the wall @ http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/album.php?aid=36944&id=100000991671781
Peace!

"AMAZE" and "GREY" Cameo on Discovery Channel's MYTH BUSTERS!

When watching TV or movies I've always try to pay attention to the background surroundings to see if I know where the location was filmed at and to see if any graffiti got caught on film. One day I caught "AMAZE" and "GREY" on Discovery Channel's Myth Busters! I think it was about seeing if people can slip and fall on a banana peel! HAHAHAH! I had to rewind and take a flik to share with you all. Free advertisement is always dope!!!

" ART FOR AUTISM SPEAKS "

We had a big shipping crate from our cutting machine that we have at work, they were about to toss it out til' I decided to make something out this good ply wood.
So,I asked the guys from our shop to cut them out in shapes of the "AUTISM SPEAKS" logo.
My goal is to have different artists from all backgrounds ;graffiti artist, graphic designers, painters, etc...who are willing to donate some of their God-given talent for a good cause.
I'm still trying to find a location in where I'm going to have the show at... but for now I'm on the hunt for fresh talent. Who's interested?! I'm limited on the boards, so get them while I have them. It's up to the artist how much of the donation he/she would like to give.
Please get in contact me if you want to join the show.
THANKS!

"Jack and The Bean Stalk"- NURSERY RHYME THEME

Here's a sketch I did for a "Nursery Rhyme Theme" for our Sketch Up fridays at work.
It's my take on the "Jack and The Bean Stalk" Story.
Most likely it'll be a painting. I'll post up more photos soon!
